Our Founder
My name is Letty Xiao. I grew up in the rolling mountains of Southwest China, surrounded by endless green—following cattle into the forest, watching caterpillars on summer leaves, feeling the wind turn the treetops silver like waves. Back then, I thought this was how the world was meant to breathe.
Two decades in the city changed that. Buried in schedules and responsibilities, I became efficient but numb. Colors faded, sounds vanished, and the senses nature had given me fell silent. Only memories of those mountains and fields kept calling me back.
At 38, I realized: what I had lost wasn’t nostalgia—it was the innate ability to experience beauty.
So I returned to nature. Today, my partners and I manage a forest, relearning the rhythms of sunrise and sunset, the textures of the seasons.
